Here’s something that slipped me by: Microsoft shut down a beta, called Codename Max. I have no idea what this is (or rather, was), but I gathered from the developer blog that it was some sort of peer-to-peer photo sharing application, with RSS news feeds presented in a ‘newspaper format’ -which seems sort of out of place in a photo managent application.

If anything, the developer blog should be fun to read for any web developer out there -it looks like a very restrictive app, even for a beta. Apparently they shut it down at the end of October, promising that (parts of) it will show up later at Live Ideas.
